Ring of Horns // SHIPPING POLICY


1. Scope

This policy applies to perishable goods (e.g., vacuum-sealed bison meat, charcuterie) and non-perishable items (e.g., tallow, leather) purchased through our online store.

2. Shipping Zones & Carriers

  • Domestic (Lower 48 states): UPS / FedEx

  • Excluded: Alaska, Hawaii, PO/APO/FPO, and international orders (until further notice).

3. Shipping Rates & Free-Ship Threshold

  • Ground / 2‑Day / Overnight options available

  • Flat rate or calculated by weight/zone—determined at checkout

  • Free shipping on orders over $200

4. Order Processing & Cut‑off

  • Perishables are shipped Monday, orders must be placed by Sunday 7 PM MT

  • Non‑perishables ship within 3–7 days

  • Local pick‑up available (optional): Fri, 10 AM–3 PM MT

5. Packaging & Cold‑Chain

  • Vacuum‑sealed meat in insulated foam cooler

  • Packed with dry ice or reusable ice packs, labeled “PERISHABLE – KEEP FROZEN”

  • Customer responsibility to freeze items at ≤ 0 °F (–18 °C) upon receipt

6. Transit & Delivery

  • Estimated delivery: 1–2 business days after shipping

  • Tracking number sent via email

  • Customers should monitor tracking and provide shipping instructions if no one will be home

  • Meat must be stored in freezer upon arrival—do not leave out for more than 2 hours in summer

7. Thawed Shipments

If thawed but still cold to the touch (< 40 °F), product is safe to refreeze; otherwise report immediately.

8. Damage / Loss / Claims

  • Inspect package upon delivery, photograph any damage or thawing

  • Report within 24 hours to arrange for a refund or replacement

  • Product costs refunded; shipping fees are non‑refundable unless our error

9. Cancellations & Changes

  • Orders can be canceled up to 2 business days before shipping

  • After shipping or within 24 hrs of order placement, a restocking or address-change fee may apply

10. Regulatory & Export Compliance

  • All meat is processed under USDA or state-certified facilities following FSIS guidelines

  • Out‑of‑state shipping includes required FSIS or export documentation

11. Returns (Non‑Perishables Only)

  • Return within 14 days of delivery if unopened

  • Customer pays return postage; refund issued upon receipt

12. Customer Guidelines

  • Ensure accurate physical shipping address

  • Be available to receive perishable shipments

  • Include delivery notes if drop‑off location needs specifics

  • Store perishables immediately at proper temperatures
